The Challenge

Present press releases and House of Comons articles with archives to consituents with minimal load time and ensure the site was compatible across all computer systems and browsers.

The Proposal

Present a uncluttered page fitting in smaller browser screens, with bold graphics and direct navigation.

The Development

Growing the site from its previous design, much of the contewnt was already in existance on the web. HTML code was cleaned and new templates were created to present the information in a appealing manner.

Press releases and House of Commons quotes are updated regulary and listed in an accessable drop menu. Each time a item is added to the menu, each page utilizing the menu needs to be updated. A simple method of updating was devised, using server-side includes (SSI). By updating one file, all HTML files which utilize the file automatically present the updated include file upon request by a web browser.
